Medewerker Technische Dienst
ABOUT JAN ZANDBERGEN
The Jan Zandbergen Group, comprising Jan Zandbergen, Diviande and Future Food Group, is a supplier and manufacturer of ingredients, semi-finished products, finished products and concepts in the meat, poultry and meat substitute sectors. With around 300 employees, we operate from our head office in Veenendaal. Our slogan is “Innovation That Matters”, and there’s a good reason for that. Our roots lie in meat, but we look far beyond that. Our aim is to provide our customers, not only today but also in the future, with products that are not only tasty but also sustainable – products that are good for people, animals and the environment.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Technical Services Assistant, you’ll become part of a close-knit and permanent team of technicians who know exactly what to expect from one another. Whilst one colleague may excel at the mechanical side of our machines, you’ll complement them with your electrical engineering expertise – or vice versa.
Together, our technical services team has one task: to carry out maintenance and resolve faults as efficiently as possible, ensuring that the food industry’s state-of-the-art machinery continues to run like clockwork.
As a Technical Services Assistant at Jan Zandbergen Group, your work is literally different every day. How about, for example, troubleshooting faults on the robots in our 15-metre-high, fully automated warehouse? Then perhaps tinkering with the air conditioning or a malfunctioning roller door. You never know what you’ll come across, apart from the scheduled maintenance rounds, and that makes this one of the most varied technical roles around!
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Together with your colleagues, you will carry out periodic and preventative maintenance in accordance with the plan that you draw up and continuously update as a team.
You will resolve faults in electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, whilst taking food safety into account.
Adjusting, configuring and maintaining control systems, including those in our cold store with its fully automated order-picking system.
You will be responsible for inspection and maintenance schedules for each machine, to minimise the number of disruptions as much as possible.
You will analyse faults to identify possible solutions to technical problems.
You will mainly work during the day (starting between 06:00 and 08:00) and will be on call once every 4 to 5 weeks.
ABOUT YOU
Your technical training at MBO level gives you a solid foundation for this role;
You’re a great colleague who enjoys working as part of a team, takes the initiative and likes to contribute ideas;
Don’t know everything yet? That’s fine! As long as you’re keen to learn, you’ll go a long way!
You have gained experience as a mechanic working with hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic systems;
You’ll feel at home in an informal and growing family business;
Ideally, you live within a 30-minute commute of Veenendaal, or a maximum of 45 minutes.
WHAT DO WE OFFER YOU?
A gross monthly salary of between €3,000 and €4,000 (based on knowledge, skills, age and qualifications), a basic allowance, a cold-weather allowance, an irregular hours allowance and an overtime allowance – in short: a good income.
24 days’ annual leave per year and 8% holiday pay;
A free lunch every day with fruit, salad, soups and fresh rolls;
A 2% end-of-year bonus;
The opportunity to work out every working day in the gym at our own Food Innovation Centre.
Every Friday afternoon there’s a sociable get-together, and we also organise great departmental and company outings! We regularly hold other fun activities too, such as ‘All of Zandbergen Bakes’, bingo, a pub quiz or indoor football.
Six times a year, the opportunity to purchase meat (and meat substitutes) at a competitive price.
A permanent, stable job where you can develop yourself and continue to grow in terms of tasks, responsibilities and salary.
A financially sound employer committed to the long term.
It’s no coincidence that our slogan is “Innovation That Matters”. So expect plenty of initiatives that we’ll “just go ahead and do” – the Jan Zandbergen Group never stands still, and neither will your career. We offer internal and external training and development programmes.
