 Our sales team is responsible for serving and expanding our rapidly growing customer base within the Foodservice, Industry and Retail. You will become part of a successful, International, dynamic team where hard work is rewarded, but there is also room for fun and entrepreneurship.

You manage your client portfolio within the Italian market with passion and commitment. With your problem solving personality you know how to convince your clients of the many possibilities that Jan Zandbergen has to offer. Due to your previous experience, you know how to translate customer needs into a strategic business plan.

As a Sales Executive South Europe at Jan Zandbergen Group you'll have one of the most diverse sales jobs out there. You work from our modern Veenendaal (The Netherlands) office and because of our fast-paced "trading" mentality we can assure you that every day will be different than the one before.  There is always an opportunity for growth within Jan Zandbergen Group, on both business- and personal level. For example, apart from the usual sales training opportunities we also offer Dutch courses to all of our staff.

Your main duties and responsibilities:

  • Together with your teammates, you will conquer the South European market with Jan Zandbergen's revolutionairy meat and meat replacement concepts.

  • You are fully responsible for approaching and maintaining your own customer portfolio within the Foodservice, Industry of retail sector.

  • You are familiar with data-driven sales; you are able to properly interpret, process and use data to draw up a sales plan.

  • You switch quickly and easily with other departments (such as logistics, marketing and product management) to ensure that the listing runs smoothly.

  • You can work well with targets and keep management proactively informed of your progress.

  • You are actively involved in improvement initiatives within the sales team.


  • You have a Bachelor degree, preferably in a commercial direction;

  • You'll have an excellent command of the language skills in at least two or more areas: Italian, French or Spanish. And because you will be working in an International team, you also have an good command of the English language, both verbally and written;

  • You have a demonstrable trackrecord in sales and a network in South Europe, preferably in FMCG;

  • You feel comfortable in an ever changing, hectic environment;

  • Finally, you are available for 40 hours a week at our office (not remote) and you live within a radius of 40 km from Veenendaal or you are willing to relocate to a city nearby.


  • A gross monthly salary between € 3.500 and € 5.000 depending on your education, experience and qualities

  • A company laptop and telephone

  • 24 days of vacation per year based on a full-time working week and the option to purchase four additional vacation days.

  • 2% end-of-year bonus and 8% holiday pay.

  • Travel allowance 0.23 cents/km

  • An annual contract with the prospect of permanent employment with a financially healthy employer.

  • Free use of the gym in our own Food Innovation Center.

  • Free lunch every day with fruit, salads, soups, fresh bread from the oven and various toppings.

  • You will work in a real family business in a close-knit team. The lines are short and the atmosphere is informal.

Eerste gesprek

Je bent gebeld door onze recruiter en krijgt een uitnodiging voor het eerste gesprek bij ons op kantoor. Dit gesprek staat in het teken van wederzijdse klik en kennismaking. Als die er is wordt je op korte termijn uitgenodigd voor een tweede gesprek.

Tweede gesprek

In het tweede gesprek gaan we dieper in op wie jij bent, wat werken binnen Jan Zandbergen Group inhoudt en de vacature wordt verder doorgesproken. Als het schikt laten we je na afloop van dit gesprek graag meer zien van ons bedrijf en de afdeling waar je komt te werken.


We kiezen voor de lange termijn; dus vaak vinden wij het verstandig dat je een (halve) dag meeloopt op de afdeling. Je krijgt hierdoor de kans om een goed, realistisch beeld te krijgen van de functie, en en je toekomstige collega's te spreken over hoe zij hun baan ervaren.
